RE: Lunar New Year
RE: Lunar New Year0Dear Jane,
I recently met my friend Hao from China after a long time, and we caught up on many things. He told me about the Lunar New Year, another major New Year celebration in China. This year, it falls on Feb. 17. People celebrate with lion dances, parades, and fireworks to bring good luck. Families enjoy large dinners with special foods such as whole fish and sweet rice balls, and children receive red envelopes filled with money. It sounds lively and exciting, don¡¯t you think?

All the best,
Peter

RE: Lunar New Year6Dear Peter,
I didn¡¯t know much about the Lunar New Year before your message. I searched for pictures online, and the lion dances and colorful decorations looked amazing. I really like how the holiday is centered around family and good fortune. It sounds like a warm and joyful celebration. Thanks for sharing this with me. I enjoyed learning something new today.

Talk to you soon,
Jane
