Seoul Outdoor Library Returns for Autumn Reading Season
Seoul’s popular outdoor library initiative reopened on Sept. 5. It will operate through Nov. 2, offering residents free access to books in three scenic locations across the capital: Seoul Plaza, Gwanghwamun Square, and Cheonggyecheon Stream. These outdoor libraries open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. While they operated from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. in September, in October, hours shifted to 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The initiative, organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, aims to promote reading culture while utilizing the city’s public spaces for cultural activities during the mild autumn season.
