RE: If We Could Change One School Rule   

• Dear Jane, Now that the semester is over, I’ve been thinking about how school could be improved. If I could change one rule, I would have school start later. Many students, including me, stay up late studying, so it's hard to feel awake during first period. With a little more sleep, I think we’d be more focused in class and have more energy throughout the day. A later start could help students stay healthier and learn more effectively. From, Peter Dear Peter, I like that idea! If I could change one school rule, I’d make lunchtime longer ? about an hour and a half. Our 45-minute lunch always feels rushed. With more time, students could eat without hurrying, relax with friends, or even take a short break before afternoon classes. I think we'd return to class feeling refreshed and ready to learn.
