Climbing Gwanaksan in Seoul

One of the highlights is Yeonjuam Hermitage, a small Buddhist temple near the top. It is built on the side of a cliff and offers a peaceful rest stop. On clear days, hikers can see Seoul’s skyline, the Hangang River, and even the distant mountains. Climbing Gwanaksan is not only a good exercise but also a fun way to learn about Korean history and culture. Some hikers even spot wildlife, including squirrels and woodpeckers.
