Let¡¯s Get on a Train!

Fall is the perfect season to travel by train. You can go to many nice places by train. Trains are very fast. They can go faster than cars! They are very convenient, too. So, when was the first train made? And who invented it?
The train was invented by an English engineer named George Stephenson in 1822. George was a manager at a big mine. At the time, he used horses to carry the coal from the mine to far places. It was slow and took a long time. One day, George decided to make a machine that could transport the coal more easily and quickly. That¡¯s how the first train was born. It had a steam engine that ran on coal and wood.
The first public train in the world was used in 1825. Today, trains are much faster and safer than in the past. Trains are also very useful. They don¡¯t get caught in traffic jams. They can carry many people. They can even carry heavy loads! But trains make less pollution than cars. Why don¡¯t you get on a train and visit some place new?
